Route terms of use

These terms apply to the routes shown in the SnatHotels widget on hotel websites and to GPX files downloaded from the widget.

  1. 1. Information, not a guiding service

Descriptions, maps, elevation profiles, ratings and GPX files are for information and guidance only. They are not a guiding service or an organised tour. A route is not part of the hotel's accommodation service.

  2. 2. Conditions on the ground change

We check some routes on site and show the date of the last check next to the route. Even so, surfaces, signposting, diversions, forestry work or the weather may change after publication.

  3. 3. Local rules and signs come first

Follow traffic rules, signs and local restrictions, for example in national parks, nature reserves and forests. Where the signposting on site differs from the route, follow the signposting.

  4. 4. Know your limits

Match the distance, climbing and difficulty to your fitness, skills, equipment and the weather. Take water, a charged phone and gear suited to the route.

  5. 5. At your own risk

You use the routes at your own risk. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

  6. 6. Report a problem with a route

Spotted a mistake, a closed path or a dangerous spot? Write to us with the route name and the place. We check every report and correct or hide the route.
